CIE's NEW IP Academies 2018-2019 have been accredited with CEDIA CEU and AVIXA RU points.
CIE is pleased to announce that its new range of IP Academies have all been accredited by CEDIA and AVIXA.
CEDIA is the international trade organisation for the home technology industry. Accreditation ensures that CEDIA members attending the academy programme, will earn valuable CEDIA CEUs (Continuing Education Units) to count toward their continuing professional development commitment.
We’re delighted to welcome CIE to our CEU provider programme,” said Aneta Armova-Levin, CEDIA Education Manager. “Their track record as a training supplier speaks for itself, and with a focus on Audio-over-IP, intercom and security systems, this new range of courses strengthens our training offering in these areas. For CIE, CEU provider status adds further value to their training offering.”
“Through promotion of CEUs, CEDIA has done a fine job of promoting continued professional development in the home technology sector,” commented Chris Edwards, Marketing Director at CIE. “Many residential installers are looking for guidance on how to migrate from analogue to digital IP systems and our courses are a perfect place to start.”
AVIXA CTS program is recognised worldwide as the leading AV specialist credential. RUs are essential for Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS) holders looking to maintain their level of professional development through ongoing education.
“We’re delighted to welcome CIE to our CTS RU provider programme,” commented Ben Barnard, Regional Manager, UK & Ireland. “Their long heritage in training provision means their courses are intelligently put together and the subject matter of these courses, audio-over IP and related issues, is current and fits nicely into our comprehensive range of courses offered through our RU provider programme.”
“AVIXA CTS is the pre-eminent qualification in the audiovisual and systems integration world,” added Chris Edwards, Marketing Director at CIE. “As such, standards are high, and CTS holders are required to maintain their certification through continuing education and training. Our IP academies are a good place to start for those looking to understand the issues, as well as gain practical knowledge of migrating from analogue to digital IP systems.”
The free to attend academy courses cover a broad range of IP installation practice (whether in video-over-IP, audio-over-IP, IP intercom, induction loops and lockdown security systems) and combine hands-on practical skills with the necessary theory. Importantly, attendees will come away with a comprehensive understanding of the technical challenges faced when installing digital network-based signal distribution and control systems, in residential and commercial applications.
There will be a networking event each evening which will be open to delegates staying over to attend multiple academies, as well as anyone not able to make the daytime courses. Furthermore, a live stream at HowToAV will also be available to allow ‘virtual’ attendance at each course. Further details on this to follow. Early registration is advisable, especially for the upcoming Nottingham dates.
