2N reveals latest Access Units 2.0 - with dual authentication technology
2N has released it's brand new Access Control 2.0 Units - now with dual user authentication technology for greater security & flexibility.
Available now from main UK distributor - CIE - 2N has released four brand new variants of its I.P. connected independent access control units.
2N IP Access Units provide secure, innovative access control for entry to office buildings, residential complexes, hospitals, educational establishments, business centres, hotels and other accommodation, etc.
These latest versions - Access Unit 2.0 - now feature dual authentication technologies to provide even greater secuirty anf flexibility These '2-in-1' devices feature a combination of either Bluetooth & RFID authentication or Touchscreen Keypad & RFID.
The devices can be set to be used in 'either or both' format - ie. for flexibility purposes, users can be authenticated using either the digital keypad or an RFID-compatible device. Where increased security is required, the Access Units can call for both authentication formats from each user (for example, using an RFID keyfob and typing in an ID code).

Protection Rating:
The 2N Access Unit 2.0 range has a protection rating of IP54 and IK08 - ensuring it's suitability for outdoor and harsh environment applications.

What is an Access Control system?
An access control system is a way of security, it manages and controls who or what is allowed entry to a system, bulding, environment or facility.
It identifies who can have access to a controlled device/facility based on the validity of their credentials.

As a standalone access control device, these units also requires a cover plate (Silver Part No. 9155021 / Black Part No. 9155021B). Power is supplied either via PoE or external power supply (Part No. 91341481GB).
