System Requirements:
Key to Marks & Spencer's (M&S) plans to become a leading international, multi-channel retailer is their newly opened 900,000 sq ft distribution centre in Castle Donington, part of M&S’s £1bn programme to update the retailer’s I.T. and distribution systems.
To provide site-wide communication with all staff required huigh performance, flexible public address system.
The Solution:
One of the largest distribution centres in the UK, the brand new Castle Donington centre features a site-wide Public Address System and Background Music powered by InterM amplification and using a range of IC Audio and FBT Projector Loudspeakers.
Installed by local PA integrator Leicester Sound & Lighting and specified through consultation with the CIE Audio System Design team, this large scale Public Address and BGM system also features a large number of bi-directional speakers from IC Audio and FBT throughout the office areas, also supplied from CIE's extensive professional audio product range.
Audio is powered by a series of rack-mounted Inter-M DPA- quad channel amplifiers providing zoned audio control of messaging and background music throughout the 900,00 sq ft distribution site.
