The update covers a wide range of optional SmartPlus features, including:

Akuvox has also refreshed its SKU structure for cloud video storage and additional family member subscriptions.
For installers and sub distributors, the changes make it easier to identify the cloud services required for a project and distinguish between community, commercial and villa sites

New Feature Add-On SKUs

A major part of the update is the introduction of dedicated ADDON SKU codes for individual SmartPlus Cloud capabilities.

For community projects, the new five-year add-ons include:

• ADDON TPC - Third Party Camera - 5 Years

• ADDON EC - Elevator Control - 5 Years

• ADDON DQRC - Dynamic QR Codes - 5 Years

• ADDON PR - Package Room - 5 Years

• ADDON BOOKING - Bookings - 5 Years

• ADDON SP - Smart Parking - 5 Years

There are also one-year options covering integrations and premium functionality:

• ADDON TPL - Third Party Lock - 1 Year
• ADDON PAF - Premium Access Feature - 1 Year

These features extend SmartPlus beyond traditional video intercom functionality and allow systems to be tailored more closely to individual developments.

The separate codes make it easier to differentiate services intended for larger community deployments from those associated with individual homes.

The new options are:

• ADDON TPC VILLA - Third Party Camera - 5 Years
• ADDON DQRC VILLA - Dynamic QR Code - 5 Years
• ADDON TPL VILLA - Third Party Lock - 1 Year
• ADDON PAF VILLA - Premium Access Feature - 1 Year

Akuvox currently supports capabilities including third-party cameras and dynamic QR codes within its SmartPlus single-family project environment, alongside other cloud-based residential functions.

Cloud Video Storage Gets Clearer Options

Cloud video storage SKUs have also been updated, with straightforward options based on the required retention period.

For individual-device subscriptions, the updated codes are:

• CLOUD VS 30 - 1 device, 30 days cloud video storage
• CLOUD VS 60 - 1 device, 60 days cloud video storage
• CLOUD VS 90 - 1 device, 90 days cloud video storage

Community subscriptions now follow the same retention structure:

• CLOUD COMMUNITY 30 - 1 device, 30 days cloud video storage
• CLOUD COMMUNITY 60 - 1 device, 60 days cloud video storage
• CLOUD COMMUNITY 90 - 1 device, 90 days cloud video storage

Akuvox's current SmartPlus documentation confirms that video storage can be configured with 30, 60 or 90-day retention periods. Video generated by supported devices can then be accessed through the SmartPlus Cloud, subject to the relevant subscription and device compatibility.

For larger developments in particular, having clearly identifiable retention options should make specifying cloud recording requirements considerably simpler.

Additional Family Member SKUs Updated

Akuvox has also updated the SKU codes used when additional family member access is required:

• ADDON FM - Additional Family Member
• ADDON FM VILLA - Additional Family Member for Villa projects

SmartPlus allows extra family members to be added to an account. The separate community and villa SKUs simply make it clearer which option to order for each type of project.

A More Modular Approach to Akuvox Cloud Services

Perhaps the most significant aspect of the update is the increasingly modular nature of the SmartPlus Cloud offering.

Rather than every project requiring the same set of capabilities, installers and property managers can select cloud services according to the needs of a particular development. The revised SKU structure should also make quotations and renewals easier to organise, with clearer distinctions between feature type, project type and subscription duration.
