2N has announced their latest firmware update for the flagship 2N IP Style video intercom, bringing powerful new customisation options to enhance user experience and meet the exact needs of each installation.
Unveiled at The Security Event 2025 at the NEC Birmingham, the update introduces the ability to create a fully bespoke user interface (UI), giving system integrators and end-users unprecedented control over how the intercom screen looks and functions.
With the new firmware, installers can now design custom layouts featuring tailored pages, subpages, and dedicated buttons for different user groups such as delivery drivers, residents, or visitors. This means the interface can be built entirely around the specific requirements of a building, organisation, or client—whether that’s unique branding, alternative navigation structures, or custom graphics.
“Our standard layout for managing directories works really well, but we’ve had customers come to us wanting something that looks different or uses specific graphics,” explained the 2N team. “With this update, we’ve given them that opportunity.”
