Nottingham-based professional AV distributor, CIE, had twice the reason to celebrate after scooping two impressive wins at the Install Awards 2016.
The annual awards, which recognises the very best in the AV industry, were held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London this June, in front of a high profile audience of over 200 integrators, distributors, manufacturers and consultants.
CIE won two highly sought after team awards, being recognised for Distribution Team of the Year and Marketing Team of the Year, which was awarded to the fantastic team behind its innovative online TV channel HowToAV.tv. Chris Edwards, Marketing Director at CIE and Steve Collin, Group Sales Director at CIE were on hand to collect the awards at the event, which were presented by renowned TV comedian, Ian Moore, and the editor of Installation Magazine, Paddy Baker.

CIE’s increasingly popular education channel HowToAV.tv, which launched in 2015, has also proved to be a huge hit within the professional AV sector. This innovative online resource delivers free, non-biased technical training via a library of video casts. The channel is instantly accessible, and also provides a unique resource for installers to reference when on site. After being live for just eight months, HowToAV.tv has already attracted in excess of 130k views from professionals in more than 200 countries.
The company also introduced a new AV System Design & Consulting service earlier this year to evolve the way it services its customers. Recognising that installers and integrators increasingly need support to apply new technologies and often need design and technical support on larger projects, CIE’s new Technical Design Team provides a ‘design to delivery service’ for professional AV integrators, offering free consultation, specification and system design support, together with complete, ready-to-install rack-build service.
