Wavelynx APEX Ascent Single Gang Keypad Access Reader

The Wavelynx AX-25-SUMMIT APEX Ascent Single Gang Access Reader with Keypad and Prox support is where performance, flexibility and sleek design come together to redefine access control.

Built for organisations ready to embrace modern credentials without leaving legacy systems behind, this next-generation reader supports Pin Code, Prox, 13.56MHz NFC smartcards, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.3 mobile credentials and wallet-based access – making it easier than ever to open doors with a card, phone, or wearable.

Unlike traditional readers, the Wavelynx APEX AX-25-SUMMIT Keypad Reader is designed to future-proof your security infrastructure. It features OSDP v2.2 Verified communications with an intelligent Autodetect function, enabling simple upgrades from legacy Wiegand systems without the expense of rewiring. Whether you’re running a brand-new deployment or upgrading existing infrastructure, the AX-20 makes the transition seamless.

Durability and reliability are central to its design. The IP65+ rated housing ensures protection against weather, dust, and moisture, while the metal cast mounting plate reinforces long-lasting installation stability. Its single gang form factor provides a larger footprint than mullion readers, ideal for wall-mount installations or environments that demand a more visible reader presence.

Security is never compromised with the Wavelynx AX-25 range. Equipped with an EAL6+ Secure Element for strong data encryption and accelerometer-based tamper detection, it safeguards your facility against both digital and physical intrusion attempts. Meanwhile, its remote firmware update capability keeps your system current with the latest features and security enhancements – no site visit required.

For end users, the experience is intuitive and seamless. A multi-colour LED light bar provides immediate credential feedback, while the broad power range (5–24VDC) supports diverse system requirements with minimal power consumption. The AX-25 is also fully interoperable with Wavelynx Ethos readers, so your access ecosystem remains flexible, scalable, and consistent across devices.
