Access Control Terminal

The Akuvox A15 is a slim, mullion-mounted access control terminal that combines a door controller and card reader in one compact device, reducing hardware, cabling and installation costs for building operators.

Featuring a 4.59" colour touchscreen in an ultra-narrow frame, the A15 Access Control Terminal provides facial recognition, video intercom and multi-protocol communication. It is suited to door frames and narrow mounting positions where a conventional reader or intercom panel won't fit.

Using dual 2MP cameras with infrared and white LED illumination, the A15 performs facial recognition in under 200ms with a quoted accuracy of 99.7%. It provides secure, touch-free entry around the clock, and its always-on camera supports real-time entry monitoring.

The A15 is ideal for multi-tenant residential apartments, commercial and shared office buildings, and any site needing a compact, all-in-one access point. It suits both new installations and retrofit projects.

Authentication options: The Akuvox A15 supports six unlock methods:

• PIN code
• RFID card (MIFARE, DESFire EV2/EV3 and FeliCa)
• QR code
• Bluetooth (BLE 5.0)
• Mobile access via the Akuvox SmartPlus app

NFC mobile credentials are supported on Android devices.

Capacity: The terminal stores up to 5,000 users, 5,000 faces, 25,000 cards and 5,000 PIN codes, with a log of up to 20,000 access events.

Third-party integration: Wiegand (selectable input/output), RS485 and OSDP interfaces, together with two relay outputs and four inputs, allow the A15 to connect to a wide range of third-party access control systems. Video can be streamed to third-party NVRs via RTSP, and SIP support enables video intercom calls.

Power pass-through: The A15 can be powered by PoE+ (802.3at) or 12V DC. Its power-out function supplies peripherals such as a door lock or card reader: up to 0.5A with PoE+ input, or up to 1A with DC input. This removes the need for separate power runs and significantly reduces material and labour costs.

Protection rating: With an IP65 rating, IK07 vandal resistance and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C, the A15 is suitable for outdoor and exposed locations. It can be wall-mounted or flush-mounted using the optional on-wall or in-wall installation boxes.

Deployment & management: Auto-provisioning, a web management portal, configuration backup and restore, and remote firmware upgrades make the A15 easy to deploy and maintain across multiple sites.
