The Akuvox VC50T is a 5-megapixel turret IP surveillance camera for monitoring entrances, shared areas and other sites where clear network video matters. It combines detailed image capture with flexible lighting and network integration for security installers building or extending an IP camera system.

Detailed 5MP security video

A 1/2.8-inch Sony STARVIS back-illuminated CMOS sensor captures 5MP images. The manufacturer lists a maximum main-stream resolution of 2592 × 1944 at 25 frames per second, using H.265 or H.264 compression. These options help installers balance image detail and network storage demand when designing recording and monitoring systems.

Wide view and dual illumination

The fixed 2.8 mm lens offers a diagonal field of view of up to 124 degrees. Infrared and warm-white supplementary lighting support monitoring in changing light conditions. Full-colour operation provides another viewing option where conditions allow. The fixed lens makes the camera particularly appropriate for entrances and common areas where the view can be planned before installation.

Human detection and open protocols

The camera includes smart human detection for perimeter events. ONVIF and RTSP support make it relevant to compatible video surveillance platforms, while normal integration checks should confirm functions supported by the selected recorder or VMS. Flexible power and outdoor deployment

This turret camera supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet or a 12 V DC input. PoE helps simplify cabling by carrying power and network communications together. Its metal IP67 enclosure provides protection against dust and water for suitable outdoor mounting positions. A 10/100 Mbps RJ45 network connection is specified.

Local recording option

An external SD card slot accepts cards of up to 512 GB, providing a local storage option where the system design calls for it.
