New partner set to assist in the roll-out of the Axis network audio product range to the UK integration sector.
Axis Communications, the market leader in network video technology, has expanded its IoT product development strategy by launching a new range of IP audio systems for the commercial audio and security markets. To assist in the roll-out of the range to the UK integration market and educate the sector regarding the benefits of IP over analogue technology, Axis has appointed specialist audio-over-IP distributor, CIE.
"When Axis introduced the world's first IP camera 20 years ago we saw a great market opportunity to help shift the physical security industry from analogue to digital technology," explains Atul Rajput, Regional Director, Northern Europe at Axis Communications. "This transition has not only made our world safer, but also smarter. Now, as we place increased focus in audio technology, we believe we can utilise our IP expertise to offer something different to the professional audio industry.”
Atul Rajput continues, "Having looked at the audio market, we realised that we needed to work with a partner that could help us drive this convergence between the security and the audio industries. It was clear that CIE's years of experience and expertise in professional sound provided us with the natural fit to bring our network audio solution to the market."
The Axis network audio range is centered around a series of pre-configured, out-of-the-box IP cabinet, ceiling and horn loudspeakers, targeted firmly at the commercial network audio sector for public address, background music and security applications. Each of the Axis IP loudspeaker devices feature internal amplifier, mixer, digital signal processor, streaming functionality, microphone, speaker and PoE.
CIE, who has been involved in many of the UK's largest and most complex commercial IP communications projects, will not only be supporting Axis via its professional audio expertise, but will also manage distribution and training for the audio-over-IP product range to UK installers and systems integrators.
"There are many parallels between CIE and Axis Communications - in particular, with regards to the levels of service and support we are striving to deliver to our customers, as well as both companies being instrumental in promoting the migration from analogue to IP technology in our respective markets,” said Kevin Sherwood, Sales Director at CIE. "We're extremely excited to be working alongside Axis with this innovative new range and to help the Axis brand become as successful in the AV world as it is in its traditional security industry."
