HowToAV catches up with artist and innovator - Daan Roosegaarde - during the TIDE Conference, Amsterdam during ISE 2018, to talk Landscapes of the Future and how technology can improve our world.
Daan explains how his projects apply the latest technologies and audio visual solutions to deliver real-life solutions for social and environmental change.
We find out more about two of his latest projects:
Waterlicht
Using light projection mapping to present a dream landscape about the power and poetry of water. As a virtual flood, it shows how high the water could reach without human intervention and raises awareness around rising water levels caused by global warming.
Smog-free Project
A series of urban innovations to reduce pollution and provide an inspirational experience of a clean future.
SMOG FREE TOWER, SMOG FREE RING and SMOG FREE BICYCLE provide a local solution of clean air in public spaces. Here along with governments, students and the clean-tech industry, people can work together to make a whole city smog free. Recent SMOG FREE PROJECTS have been launched in China, the Netherlands and Poland.
