CIE-Group’s very own ‘lycra lads’ (and lass of course!) – Team 00Heaven – last night handed over another £700 cheque to local charity Derby Kids’ Camp, which provides hundreds of free holidays every year to many of the City’s most disadvantaged young children.
Team 00Heaven (made up of CIE’s Sales Director Steve Collin, Marketing Director Chris Edwards, Account Managers Martin Featherstone and Lauren Bamford – plus our very good friend Arnout Andrews) have, for the past four years, undertaken an annual cycle challenge to ride 550 miles in just three days (through France or Ireland) to raise money towards these much needed children’s holidays as well as a number of other very deserving charities.
To date, the Team have raised in excess of £3000 for Derby Kids’ Camp (paying for 30 children’s holidays) and well over £6000 in total.
Oher charities who have also benefitted from the Team’s fundraising efforts have included Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation and Wessex Heartbeat.
