1-Channel Long-Range Edge Receiver

The Farpointe Data RER-11 Ranger Long-Range Edge Receiver is a compact, single-channel 433MHz wireless access control receiver designed for standalone and remote access applications. Offering a wireless operating range of up to 30.5 metres (100 feet), it provides convenient access control for garage doors, gates, parking facilities and other secured entrances without requiring a connection to a central access control network.

Long-Range Wireless Access Control

The RER-11 uses 433MHz wireless technology and an integrated receiving antenna to communicate with compatible Farpointe Ranger transmitters. It supports the WRT-2+, WRT-4+ and WRT-2M models, allowing users to activate controlled entrances remotely.

Its 360-degree reception coverage means transmitters do not need a direct line of sight to the receiver. This makes it particularly useful for vehicle access points and locations where convenient long-range operation is required.

Standalone Credential Management

A key advantage of the RER-11 is its ability to manage up to 512 individual credentials directly on the unit. Configuration and credential enrolment are performed locally, removing the need for a separate smartphone or PC programming device.

This makes the receiver suitable for remote gates, garages and smaller access points where installing a networked access control system may be impractical.

Integrated Relay and Reader Connectivity

The receiver features a Form C SPDT relay output for controlling compatible access equipment. Relay activation time can be adjusted between 1 and 15 seconds to suit different installation requirements.

An integrated Wiegand input interface also supports connection of an optional external reader. Depending on the connected reader, this allows additional credential types such as RFID cards, mobile credentials, keypad PINs or biometric identification to be used. External readers are sold separately.

Simple Power and Local Monitoring

Operating from a 12V DC power supply, the receiver draws 30mA when idle and 100mA with the relay active. Five onboard LED indicators provide status information, including relay operation, programming, door position and request-to-exit functions.
