At the AV Awards 2014 last week, CIE-Group were hugely proud to be announced as winners of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award‘!
In the year when we celebrate our 50th Anniversary of servicing the AV industry, the award was a fantastic recognition of CIE-Group’s contribution and years of experience in professional audio visual.

The national AV distribution company, which is celebrating fifty years in business this year, picked up the highly sought after ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’ award at the national AV Awards 2014. The most prestigious awards in the audio visual industry, the Outstanding Contribution award was given in recognition of CIE-Group’s fifty years of excellent service to the AV industry and the company’s admirable commitment to charitable causes.
The AV Awards were held at a glittering ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London. The ceremony attracted 750 industry movers and shakers for the presentation of the awards, all of which had been independently judged by senior representatives from user companies and key industry players in the £78 billion global AV business. The awards were presented by Andy Parsons of Mock the Week fame, and Clive Couldwell, Editor of AV Magazine.
Chris Edwards, Marketing Director of CIE-Group is proud of the recognition that the company has achieved from its peers, as well as the deep roots the company has in the local community:

“The AV Awards are the Oscars of our industry and it’s a proud moment for us to be honoured on the national stage, so to speak,” he says. “It is a just reward for the hard work that all our staff have put in over the years since the foundation of the company in Nottingham back in 1964. While being a nationally recognised company has helped us achieve steady growth over the years, our local roots have given us a firm platform on which to build a successful business. Our office staff are all drawn from the Nottingham area and we have dealings with many with other local businesses, especially in the audio visual trade. We also take our community responsibilities seriously and are proud of the close links we’ve forged with charities based in the East Midlands region.”
CIE’s Commercial Director Jon Doar who collected the award on the night added “It was a huge honour to represent the whole team and to be recognised by the entire AV industry – in particular during this landmark anniversary year. We have some exciting new developments soon to be announced to the industry and look forward to returning to the Awards next year to see if we can add to our silverware collection!.”
CIE Sales Director Steve Collin added “We’d like to thank the entire CIE team – as well as our manufacturer partners and customers of course! – for their amazing support over the years, and we look forward to providing even greater levels of service and support and some great new technology innovations in the years to come!“
