Conekt, developed by Farpointe Data, is an advanced contactless smartcard reader solution that supports mobile access. It leverages the well-established LEGIC contactless RFID platform, ensuring reliability and compatibility with various electronic access control systems. Conekt readers are versatile, interfacing seamlessly with systems using legacy formats like Wiegand and ABA Track II magnetic stripe, as well as modern protocols like Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP).

Key features of Conekt include MAXSecure and ValidID, which enhance security and authentication processes. Moreover, Conekt supports both sector and card serial number (CSN) reads, offering flexibility in credential validation methods.

In addition to traditional contactless smartcard credentials like clamshell cards and key tags, Conekt also provides the option for mobile access credentials. These credentials can be loaded onto smartphones equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, allowing the smartphone to serve as an electronic access control credential.
