What is HDBaseT?
HDBaseT is the latest standard in professional AV signal distribution, allowing multiple signals to be simultaneously transmitted over standard Cat cable.
Top 3 tips for fault finding on an HDBaseT installation:
- Check the power supply provided with the unit and how the grounding is actually connected with the power supply.
- Ensure the correct connection of shielding on Cat cable.
- Check the routing of the category cable – is it close to power supplies or lighting fittings? Are there too many HDBaseT signal cables too tightly bundled together? This will affect the quality of the HDBaseT transmission.
